Effective: August 18, 2026
ZEKIO, K.K. ("we", "us") sets out the conditions for using the smartphone application "Jitsuha Anotoki" (the "Service") in these Terms of Use (the "Terms").
Article 1 (Application)
- These Terms govern the conditions under which the Service is provided and the rights and obligations between us and users, and apply to every relationship arising from use of the Service.
- A user is deemed to have agreed to these Terms upon beginning to use the Service.
- Guidelines and notices that we publish from time to time within the Service or on our website form part of these Terms.
Article 2 (Eligibility)
- Persons under 13 years of age may not use the Service.
- A minor must obtain the consent of a parent or other legal representative before using the Service. If a minor begins using the Service, we treat that use as having been consented to by their legal representative.
- We may refuse use by a person who has previously been suspended or otherwise sanctioned for breaching these Terms.
Article 3 (Accounts and registered information)
- An account is managed by an anonymous identifier issued per device. We do not collect a name, address, telephone number, email address or other contact details when an account is created.
- Users must register true and accurate information about themselves (affiliation, nickname, gender and the like; "Registered Information").
- Whether Registered Information may be registered, added or changed, and to what extent, is as displayed within the Service.
- Because accounts and in-app data are tied to the device, they cannot be restored after changing devices, deleting the app, or resetting the device. We accept no liability for any loss arising from this.
- Users may not allow a third party to use, or transfer, their account.
Article 4 (Nature of the Service)
- The Service notifies both parties of the fact of a match, together with the fixed phrase each user selected in advance, only where information a user enters about a specific other person ("Entered Information") and another user's Registered Information and Entered Information correspond to each other by the method we prescribe (a "mutual match").
- The Service exists so that a user may confirm mutual intent with a specific person they already know. It does not introduce users to people they have not met, nor does it provide opportunities to meet new people.
- Registered Information and Entered Information are never published to, or viewable by, unspecified persons. The Service has no function to publish or view profiles and no function to search for users. The information shown to the other party when a mutual match occurs is limited to that set out in Article 5, Paragraph 1.
